Full Training CNA class - Textbook, workbook, and NC skills guidebook (NC candidate handbook) are given when you register. They are given to you the day you pay for your class. Or, they are mailed to you via USPS priority mail with a tracking number, as soon as payment is received. The day of class, you will receive, your application for the state exam, chapter tests, skills checklists, hand-outs, practice final exam and one full day of training of theory (written) and live skills demonstrations of the 24 skills on the NC state exam. You will pay your own state exam fee.

Skills Only class - When you register, you will receive your NC skills guidebook (NC candidate handboook). The day of class, you willl receive, your application for the state exam and a folder of hand-outs with four hours of teaching and live skills demonstations of 24 skills for the state exam. You will pay your own state exam fee.

Clinical class - You should have everything from your full training, skills only or home study class. This is an open skills lab time. This is held only at the MONROE location and you can come and practice your skills, as you wish. This class is three hours. This is NOT the instructor teaching the skills. This is not private one on one tutoring. You will pay your own state exam fee.

CNA home study and skills DVD program - You receive your textbook, workbook, NC skills guidebook (NC candidate handbook), a binder with hand-outs, skills checklists, chapter tests, practice final exams, answer keys, application for the state exam and the skills DVD demonstrating the skills one by one. You can then, if you wish, take a skills only class ($40.00) or a clinical class ($25.00) down the road at the Monroe location, but, it is not mandatory. You pay your own state exam fee.

CPR class - Handouts on CPR the day of class and if you pass the written and pass the practical in the class, you leave with your two year certification card for the BLS Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association.

Medication Aide class - When you register, your NC Medication Aide manual (textbook). The day of class, the application for the state exam, notarized completion certificate, handouts, and three days of training. You also receive the Medication Aide emblem pin the last day of class. You can see the picture of the pin on the Web Store of this website. You will pay your own state exam fee.
PLEASE, read your skills guidebook (NC candidate handbook) BEFORE you come to class.... The CNA state exam fee is $96.00. You will mail this in with your application to receive a test date. You do NOT take the state exam the day of class. On July 1, 2010, North Carolina is increasing the CNA state exam to $101.00. The Med Aide exam fee is $55.00. You do not take the state med aide exam in the class. The state exam fee is your responsibility. We do not pay your state exam fee.
All other items are optional, like CNA and other emblem pins, CNA skills DVD, etc. if not posted as included with the class.
