What to bring and wear to class...

What should you bring and wear to class?

Bring:

  1. Notebook for taking notes.
  2. Pen and high-lighter. 
  3. Your own drinks, bottled water, lunch / dinner and snacks.
  4. Wear a watch with a second hand.  It can be digital or analog, either way.
  5. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.  Shorts and t-shirts are fine.  You do not need to wear scrubs.  It is your choice.   A sweater or jacket, it is cold in the room.
  6. Your textbooks, if applicable.   (see list below)
  7. Your class fee or balance that is due.   You will not be allowed to stay for the class if your full payment is not paid on or before your class date.  Sorry, no exceptions at all to this rule!  It is due at the beginning of class.

* Wal-Mart, CVS, Wal-greens, and Target sell manual blood pressure cuffs.   It must state "Manual".   It can not be digital, self inflating or electronic.   These are optional, but recommeded if you have never done blood pressure before.   Wal-Mart sells them together in a package for $9.98 over by the pharmacy department.  I will have some available for students to use the day of class.

I only accept exact change for cash.  I will also accept a money order or an official certified bank check.  Sorry, NO personal checks.  NO credit cards / NO debit cards are accepted at my home, by phone or any of the training locations.   Paypal is accepted with a $10.00 handling and service fee added on to the listed class fees.

Your yellow textbook and your small blue NC candidate guidebook with the skills listing.

For the Medication Aide Class:

Your NC Medication Aide manual.  (textbook)

Please, do not talk on the phone or text on your phone during class.  Wait till a break or leave the room if you must use your phone!   The other students paid their registration fee and are there to learn.   Thank you!
